For roughly 70 years, The Glider Inn stood as one of the few structures gracing Seal Beach's quiet waterfront. A small municipal airport provided a thematic backdrop to the restaurant and sleepy surf town; so when three local surfing buddies purchased the inn and launched Mahé over a decade ago, they set out to maintain the original building and its accompanying spirit, going so far as to keep a replica airplane atop the roof in honor of the town's heritage.
